Descriptions:
Aerial Dance
The class and its’ approach is in the spirit of the dancer. It is designed for the aerialist who wants to develop in the qualities of dance and enhance their performance level while strengthening in technique and safety. Beginning with aerial technique and skill building it finalizes through structured improvisations and theater. Each class will involve an array of aerial apparatus. Please wear tight fitting clothing for safety purposes.
Modern Dance
Greatly influenced by the San Francisco modern dance community, contemplative dance practices, yoga, butoh, hula, and aerial, Wailana hopes to bring an intelligence to his movement vocabulary that can relate to cultivate a dancer who can move with ease, purity of expression, with technical execution and awareness. Modern dance warm ups, improvisations, choreography, and theater. Beginning and Intermediate levels.
*Knee – pads are good to bring along with long sleeves and pants.
